Taliban commander killed in Afghanistan
A key Taliban commander and four of his bodyguards were killed in Afghanistan`s Kunduz province, the provincial police said on Thursday.
"Taliban key commander Mullah Khairullah along with four of his bodyguards were killed after a drone struck their hideout in Qala-e-Zal district late Wednesday night," a senior police officer told Xinhua news agency.

Khairullah served as a commander since the past couple of years and his death could prove a major blow to the Taliban fighters in Kunduz and the neighbouring Takhar and Baghlan provinces, the official added.
