“We appreciate Congressman Costa’s interest in working with us on ways to pursue a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Vienna and St. Petersburg meetings were successful in reducing the violence along the Line of Contact, resuming substantive talks, and advancing proposals to reduce the risk of violence. It is important to continue this positive momentum in the peace process by holding another meeting of the Presidents. The Co-Chair countries are committed to continuing dialogue between the Presidents and are exploring opportunities to bring them together again soon. Although we have no specific plans to travel to the region at this time, we are in regular contact with the sides to prepare for the next presidential meeting,” Warlick said.
Note that Jim Costa, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, had said in an interview to news.am. that the Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers would have a meeting with the foreign ministers of the co-chair countries.
