At the meeting, the participants highly appreciated the proposed amendments to the constitution, having noted that the last referendum on amendments and annexes to Azerbaijan`s constitution was held March 18, 2009.
In addition, twenty-seven plenipotentiary representatives of the initiative group and an authorized representative for financial issues were appointed.
It was also decided to send a notification to the Central Election Commission for registration of the created initiative group.
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to hold a referendum on amending the country’s constitution September 26, 2016.
