Azerbaijan to set restrictions on food imported without customs duties
Azerbaijan will set restrictions next week on food, alcoholic drinks and cigarette imported without customs duties.
This is according to the Cabinet of Ministers’ decision dated 8 July 2016 on amendments to the preferential and simplified rules for goods crossed from customs checkpoints by individuals for non-production and non-commerce purposes.

The decision will enter into force on Aug.8. Until now, goods worth more than 1,500 US dollars used to be let in from customs checkpoints on a preferential basis. After the latest amendment, goods worth up to 1,500 US dollars will be let in from customs checkpoints without customs duties once a month. There are no restrictions on personal items carried during visits.

Restrictions will also apply to amounts sturgeon and its caviar, alcoholic drinks, cigarettes, and other food products.
