Russia`s Caspian Flotilla will hold drills on August 15-20 in the southwestern part in the Caspian Sea, working on responses to military and terrorist threats, the Russian Defense Ministry said Tuesday.
The drills will have several stages and are aimed at assessing the Caspian Flotilla`s readiness and ability to resolve situations, including terrorist-related, that "pose a threat to the country`s military security."
"In accordance with the combat training plan, a tactical exercise of the Caspian Flotilla will be held in the southwestern part of the Caspian Sea from August 15 to 20, 2016," the ministry`s press service said.
