Magnitude-5.0 Earthquake Hits U.S.

A preliminary magnitude-5.0 earthquake shook Northern California late Tuesday, USGS says.

The temblor hit just before 8 p.m. and was centered about 50 miles north of Healdsburg.

No further details were available.
