Under the decree, a Scientific Research Coordination Council will be established in order to coordinate the scientific research studies conducted by scientific institutions and organizations.
The work of the Scientific Research Coordination Council will be based on the Statue approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Research Coordination Council will create scientific councils within on the main areas of science.
Research Coordination Council used to operate under ANAS. Research Coordination Council has the status of coordinating and controlling all the fundamental and applied researches conducted in the country’s all scientific research and higher education institutions on nature, technology, humanitarian and public areas.
The current chairman of Research Coordination Council is ANAS President Akif Alizadeh.
