Explosion hits US power plant - VIDEO
An explosion hit a large power plant of the DTE company in the American state of Michigan, TV channel 7 Action News reported.
One of locals heard strange hissing before the explosion. Now firefighters localized the fire for 80%, Times Herald reported.

The DTE company stated that the cause of the incident was a fire in the power generation system.From 80 to 100 firefighters are working at the site, but they cannot completely extinguish the flames for more than four hours. No casualties have been reported.

St. Clair power plant is located on the coast of St. Clair River on the border with Canada. Since 1969 till the end of the 1970th it was considered as the world`s largest, its capacity is 1 thousand 928 megawatts.
