`No unauthorized rally or piquet to be allowed prior to referendum`
Interior affairs authorities will take all necessary measures to maintain public order. No unauthorized rally or piquet will be allowed prior to the referendum, Deputy Interior Minister Oruj Zalov said in his speech on the theme “The role and duty of Interior Ministry officials during the referendum” at the CEC-organized consulting seminar held for chairmen of constituency election commissions.
He said they will not allow anyone to harm this process: "10-15 minutes after being called by the election commission, police will show up. Registered campaign groups will conduct their propaganda in the established public and private places. To prevent attempts to disrupt the election process on the day of the referendum, the police will work intensify efforts,” he said.

Zalov noted that during the collection of signatures for registration of campaign groups, law enforcement agencies are solving problems on the spot: "Some problems emerge and we eliminate them. There is no serious problem at the moment.”
