According to him, they are aware of a plan of Armenia to hold an event titled “25th anniversary of Nagorno Karabakh and achievements” on September 15-18 in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan: “The world community knows that by roughly violating norms and principles of the international law, Armenia occupied Azerbaijan’s lands and committed bloody ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijanis. Introducing this illegal regime, which was created based on the tragedy and humanitarian disaster of over 1 million Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs, as “25th anniversary of Nagorno Karabakh and achievements” and attempting to involve youths from other countries in this process is nothing except lying the international community. Armenia is also planning to hold other events under the name of the 25th anniversary of the so-called regime”.

Hajiyev called on world youths and experts not to succumb to lie challenges of Armenia on Nagorno Karabakh and allow being used in propaganda of so-called regime: “Our diplomatic representations inform the countries, where they were accredited, about Armenia’s untrue intentions and take necessary measures. Several persons, who are under pressure of Armenian lobby by receiving material benefit, are not excluded about joining this event. However, everyone must know that illegal visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan bears legal responsibility as a case of violation of the Laws of Azerbaijan on the State Border and Exit from the Country, Entry into the Country, and Passports. Such persons will be added to the persona non grata list of Azerbaijan”.

Hajiyev added that Azerbaijan-based youths organizations also play an important role in prevention of such provocative actions: “We call on our youth organizations to be active in such issues by informing their partners in foreign countries about intention of this provocative conference, making efforts to avert foreign youths to be tool of Armenia’s propaganda machine and use social media actively for this purpose”.
