Deadly suicide bombing targets Yemen army camp
Gathering of new recruits in northern Aden targeted by attacker, with conflicting reports about the death toll.
A suicide car-bomb attack on an army training camp in Yemen has killed several people, according to security sources.

One official told AFP news agency the attacker drove his vehicle into a gathering of new recruits at the camp in northern Aden on Monday.

At least 45 dead bodies were brought to the hospital run by the Medicins Sans Frontieres in the southern Yemen city of Aden, a source at the hospital told the Reuters news agency.

A spokesperson for the group said at least 60 other were wounded in the attack.

"Security services are still evacuating the dead and wounded," an official said.

The port city, the temporary base of Yemen`s internationally recognised government, has seen a wave of bombings and shootings targeting officials and security forces.

More than 6,600 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in Yemen since March 2015 and over 80 percent of its population has been left in need of humanitarian aid, according to the UN.
