Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili has arrived in Azerbaijan on an official visit on Aug 31, AzVision.az reports.
Azerbaijani Deputy PM Ali Ahmedov and other officials welcomed the Georgian PM at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.
The Georgian PM visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader of Azerbaijani Heydar Aliyev. She also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
Kvirikashvili then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani martyrs who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity.
During the visit Kvirikashvili will meet with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and will have private and expanded meetings with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.
Kvirikashvili is accompanied by his deputy, Minister of Energy Kakha Kaladze and Deputy Foreign Minister Giga Gigiadze.
