Azerbaijan to ban religious propaganda in public places
Demonstration of religious slogans, flags and other religious attributes in public places, outside places of worships is banned in Azerbaijan. Foreigners will face financial sanctions and deported from the country in such cases.
Azerbaijani Parliament told that article #516.0.3 was proposed to the Code of Administrative Offences by Azerbaijani president.

According to the new article, demonstration of religious slogans and other religious attributes (excluding religious attributes carried by a person) in public places, outside places of worship and installation of religious flags outside places of worships, religious centers and offices are prohibited. In case of violation of these prohibitions, citizens will face AZN 2,000 up to AZN 2,500 fine, officials - AZN 8,000 up to AZN 9,000 fine, legal entities - AZN 20,000 up to AZN 25,000 fine. AZN 2,000 up to AZN 2,500 fine will be imposed on foreigners and stateless persons and they will be deported from the country.

The draft law was submitted to the Azerbaijani Parliament and will be discussed at the next session.
