President`s brother becomes presidential candidate in Iran
The brother of the incumbent president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Davud Ahmadinejad registered his candidacy at the presidential elections, ?LNA agency reported on Saturday.
According to the report, Davud Ahmadinejad was a security officer of the Army of Guardians of Revolution. During his brother`s first presidential term he worked as the head of the Control Department of the Presidential Administration. In 2008 he resigned. According to Iranian media, the reason for the resignation became his strained relations with his brother, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

The official registration of candidates for the presidential elections started on May 7. The registration deadline is May 11.

The 11th presidential elections in Iran are scheduled to be held on June 14 this year.

The President in Iran is elected for a four-year term.
