CEC registers local, int’l organizations to hold exit poll - Referendum in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) on Wednesday considered the registration of some organizations for holding an exit poll in the upcoming referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s Constitution.
ELS Independent Research Center earlier applied to the CEC to hold an exit poll in 400 polling stations on 119 constituencies, the Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League – in 450 polling stations on 100 constituencies along with the US firm Arthur J. Finkelstein & Associates (AJF), and “For Civil Society” Independent Assistance and Consultation Center – in 152 polling stations on 118 constituencies along with the French firm Opinion Way.

The CEC decided to register these organizations.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev earlier signed an order to hold a referendum on making amendments to the country’s Constitution on Sept. 26, 2016.
