London police arrest two men on suspicion of terrorism involvement
Police arrested two men in west London as a part of a counterterrorism probe, it said in a press release on Thursday.
Police arrested two men in west London as a part of a counterterrorism probe, it said in a press release on Thursday.

"The men, who are aged 19 [A] and 20 [B], were arrested at an address in west London as part of a pre-planned, intelligence-led investigation by the Met`s Counter Terrorism Command, supported by the South East Counter Terrorism Unit," the press release read. One suspect was arrested over preparation of terrorist acts, while the other one is suspected of funding terrorism and failure to disclose information regarding an act of terrorism.

According to the press release, police officers are currently carrying out searches in the western and southeastern London, Thames Valley area.

The British Security Service MI5 says the level of terrorist threat to Britain`s security is severe. In 2015, the number of arrests linked to terrorism hit the record level of 339, according to UK police.
