President Ilham Aliyev arrives in Qusar, attends several openings - PHOTOS
After completing his visit to Khachmaz district, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Qusar.
The president first laid flowers at the statue of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the center of the city of Qusar.

Head of Qusar District Executive Authority Shair Alkhasov informed President Ilham Aliyev about the work carried out around the statue.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of the newly reconstructed Qusar-Imamgulukand-Qukhuroba highway.

Chairman of Azeravtoyol Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state about the layout of the road. 980 safety posts, 197 traffic signs and 24 informative boards were installed along the highway, which is 24.7km in length and 12 metres in width. A new bridge was built over the Imamgulukand canal. The length of the bridge is 9.6 metres, while the width is 4 metres.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.

The road, which links 11 residential areas with the total population of 12,000 people, provides an easy access to the center of the district and Baku-Quba-Russia border highway.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated a new building of the secondary school named after professor Karim Karimov in Hil village, Qusar district.

The head of state viewed photo stands reflecting the previous and current look of the building.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the school.

Minister of Education Mikayil Jabbarov informed the head of state about the work done. The facility was constructed in 1928. The two-storey building was built for the secondary school named after professor Karim Karimov, a graduate of the school, in 1973.

Photo stands reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev’s and President Ilham Aliyev’s visits to Qusar, as well as their attention to education were installed in the foyer of the school. The construction of the new three-storey building started in February, 2015, and ended in July, 2016. The school can handle up to 720 pupils. There are 30 classrooms. It employs 61 teachers. The school has a lab, library, 350-seat auditorium, gym and 92-seat canteen.

The president wished the school staff success.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended a ceremony to launch a newly reconstructed water supply and sewerage system in the city of Qusar.

Head of Azersu Qorkhmaz Huseynov informed the head of state about the project, which is part of “Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project” implemented by the government of Azerbaijan and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The project aims to improve water supply and sewerage system for 19,600 people in the city of Qusar. The project will also see the launch of water supply to 12,000 people in seven villages in Qusar and three villages in Quba districts.

“Provincial Cities Water Supply and Sewerage Project” will see the overhaul of water supply and sewerage systems in Qusar, Khachmaz, Khizi, Qobustan and Naflatan.

The head of state pressed the button to launch the project.

President Ilham Aliyev then had a meeting with local residents, and posed for photographs with them.
