Freight train blown up in Turkey
A freight train has been blown up by militants of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group in Turkey’s Mus province, the Hurriyet newspaper reported Sept.9.
Terrorists mined the railway with a remote-controlled explosive device.

Seven wagons derailed as a result of the blowing up the train running on Tatvan-Elazig route.

No other details of the incident have been reported.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 33 years and has claimed more than 40,000 lives.

The UN and the European Union list the PKK as a terrorist organization.
