“National and moral values are the wealth of the nation. National leader Heydar Aliyev, who always highly appreciated these values, also took care of the preservation of our national and religious traditions. During his presidency, healthy interreligious relations were established. Today, it is the result of the wise policy founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev that freedom of conscience and tolerance prevail in Azerbaijan and our country has become a center of multiculturalism in the world. The Eid al-Adha holiday which is kept alive to the present day instilling high moral feelings such as solidarity, friendship, honesty, equality and compassion, is celebrated in Azerbaijan at a high level”, said the defense minister.

“Our country which is recognized among world countries as an example of religious tolerance is confidently moving along the path of civilized and democratic development under the leadership of our respected president Ilham Aliyev. Today the dynamic development of the economy was ensured, people`s living standards have improved, our state’s power of defense has increased and our independence strengthened more”, Hasanov emphasized.

Hasanov said the April clashes confirmed fighting spirit, ability and power of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. “Part of our lands was liberated. Mr. Supreme Commander-in-Chief has several times reiterated that “Azerbaijan will never allow the second Armenian state to be created on our lands.” We must do our best to liberate our lands in a short time to justify the confidence of the president and Azerbaijani people,” he added.

“I believe that you will further remain committed to the Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic, Military Oath and Regulations, serve with honor and glory, increase efforts to raise moral and psychological preparation for restoration of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and liberation of our lands. I wish you robust health, happiness and success in your service,” he noted.
