US, Japan, South Korea to discuss North`s nuclear tests on UNGA sidelines Sunday
US Secretary of State and his South Korean and Japanese counterparts will discuss North Korea`s ballistic missile tests.
US Secretary of State John Kerry, South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se and his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida will hold consultations on North Korea`s ballistic missile tests on Sunday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly`s session, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said.

"At the upcoming meeting, which will be held in an extremely grave security situation, the ministers are expected to discuss comprehensive and strong response to North Korea," the ministry said in a press release issued Wednesday. On September 9, Pyongyang confirmed the detonation of a nuclear device at the country’s northeastern testing site. The government said the test showed North Korea was capable of mounting nuclear warheads on strategic ballistic rockets. The test is believed to be the fifth and largest blast since Pyongyang began pursuing nuclear and ballistic missile programs. The UN Security Council condemned the test as a repeated violation of its resolutions.
