As of August 1, 2016, number of Azerbaijani population made 9,765,400, up 59,800 people or 0.6% from 2015.
According to State Statistical Committee, density of population made 113 persons in a km². Each 1,000 men are equal to 1,007 women. 53.1% of population are in cities, 46.9% in villages.
