He made the remarks during an event held at the embassy in Baku on the occasion of the independence of Mexico.
"The opening of embassies in both countries has given impetus to the development of bilateral relations," said the ambassador.
"Both countries have turned into logistics and transportation centers in their respective regions", he added.
“This is not the only similarity between the two countries. Both countries have fuel reserves, extensive experience in this field. Bilateral cooperation in this sector could be productive for both sides,” he added.
Mexico supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, the diplomat stressed.
Foreign Ministry`s official Gunduz Jafarov also addressed the event, congratulating the ambassador and the people of Mexico on behalf of the Azerbaijani government.
