"This is a historic achievement. Serious steps have been taken to eliminate unemployment. However, this process must be continuous. The development of cotton means the creation of new jobs. I believe that next year the number of sown areas will increase even more and thus give rise to the number of the employed. This year we have increased the purchase price of cotton by 20 percent. But we need to consider whether any more increase in price is need or not. Of course, it would be favorable. So now I instruct the relevant bodies - the Presidential Administration, the ministries of agriculture and economy as well as cotton firms – to consider it. We, of course, need to increase the purchase price as much as possible so that order people could get more profit,” the president said.
The president noted that additional actions must be taken to stimulate the development of cotton production.
