Russian, Turkish leaders discuss Syria
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed in a phone call on Wednesday issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in Syria, the Kremlin said, Sputnik reported.
"The leaders discussed urgent issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda as well as the progress in Syrian peace process," the Kremlin`s press service said in a statement.

According to the statement, Erdogan congratulated Putin on the success of the recent parliamentary elections in Russia where the ruling United Russia party won an overwhelming majority of seats in the lower house, the State Duma.
