Military parade in Yerevan was imitation, says Azerbaijan
The military parade held in Yerevan Sept. 21 was an imitation, said Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense Industry Yahya Musayev.
Azerbaijan does not need arms donation from any country, noted Musayev, addressing a press conference in Baku Sept. 2.

“Along with manufacturing, we try to purchase modern technology and manufacture these products. We are able to provide our army with ammunition and military equipment,” he said.

Asked whether Azerbaijan is in talks with Pakistan to purchase the complex similar to Iskander-M missile complex, showcased in the recent parade in Yerevan, the deputy minister replied: “The Ministry of Defense Industry is a manufacturer, it doesn’t purchase weapons and ammunition. It would be better if you ask this question to the Defense Ministry.”

He added that Ministry of Defense Industry even refuses some orders due to high demand.

“We are receiving appeals from European, African and Asian countries. In most cases, they want to buy weapons and ammunition. We have competitive and high quality weapons, the prices of which correspond to those on the world marker,” said Musayev.
