The release of all activists detained in Azerbaijan pre-referendum campaign will be included in PACE mission’s final report, Aleksandar Nikoloski, head of the Referendum Assessment Mission of PACE told.
“I send request to the Ministry of justice to give the delegation exact information how many people were detained during campaign and how many were released as there were different information. The information of the Ministry of Justice regarding the detention of activists during the campaign for referendum and the release of all of those activists was submitted to us after we declared our statement. We regret for this delay. The official document of the ministry of justice reads that all activists were released. We welcome this decision and we note that it is a very good development. This fact will be included in the final report of the PACE mission,” he said.
