`Azerbaijan focuses on the strengthening of security` - Fuad Aleskerov
`Terrorism, religious extremism and aggressive separatism still pose a threat to the international security`, Aleskerov stated.
`Azerbaijan had gained more experience from the fight against other threats of terrorism, religious extremism and national security over the past few years. The relevant legislation is being continuously developed. The field of the law enforcement produced serious results`, Aleskerov noted.
`The Special Service Agencies have recently conducted a number of successful operations to prevent the activities of religious extremist groups. We suppose that the exchange of reasonable experience and credible partner relationship provide a basis to obtain results in the settlement of the issues under the responsibility of the Special Service Agencies`, he added.
`The danger caused by the spread of radical religious ideology in the CIS member states indicates the necessity to strengthen the cooperation. It is important to take an advantage of all opportunities engendered by this kind of mutual agreements. I do hope that today`s meeting will pave the way for joining efforts in providing national security for the CIS member states`, he concluded.
