ISESCO calls on UN to make greater efforts to resolve Karabakh conflict
The United Nations should make greater efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh and other conflicts, said ISESCO Director General Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri addressing the opening ceremony of the fifth Baku International Humanitarian Forum in Baku Sept. 29.
The Baku Forum is an important event for people spreading the idea of justice, peace and equality, said the ISESCO chief, stressing the need for closer cooperation of international community to prevent the growing negative trends.

“Today, the world is prone to threats that can disrupt the international stability. With regard to threats to peace and security, there is a need to do serious work in terms of globalization,” said Altwaijri.

He called on the UN to make greater efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh and other conflicts.

“Great powers in the UN Security Council should take necessary steps. New world order must be created based on international law. Thus, great powers must make urgent decisions. Otherwise, the world will become a jungle, there will be no respect for the law,” the ISECO chief added.

Altwaijri noted that ISESCO supports the liberation of Azerbaijan’s occupied territories.
