Turkey declares 15 July as Day of Democracy and Freedoms
15 July will be a non-working day in Turkey, said the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, AzVision.az reports citing the Turkish Media.
He noted, 15 July will be marked as “Day of Democracy and Freedoms”. “The National Security Council gave recommendation to the government in this regard. Every year 15 July will be marked as day of remembrance of our martyrs and gazis. In this regard, that day will be a non-working day, said the president.

Erdoğan called the day as a War of Independence of the Turkish people: “On that date, our lands could be occupied. Howver, our people did not allow it”.
