Pope celebrates Mass in Georgia’s capital
Pope Francis marked the beginning of his second day Georgia by presiding over Mass in Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in the nation’s capital city of Tbilisi, Vatican Radio reports.
The Pope spoke of the “urgent” mission to bring and receive God’s consolation. He said the Church is the house of consolation.

Government officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps and heads of religious confessions in Georgia attended the Mass.

Upon arriving in the country’s capital city of Tbilisi on Sep.30, Francis met with the president, prime minister, parliament speaker, representatives of diplomatic corps and religious leaders.

Pope will visit Azerbaijan on Oct.2.
