The investigators were trying to find out the connections between the two incidents that took place not far from one another.
The USA Today newspaper reported, citing local police, that the shootings occurred in downtown Minneapolis at 1:15 a.m. local time (07:15 GMT). The newspaper added that police and ambulances arrived at the scene of the crime and the investigation was in progress.
