Azerbaijan subsidizes tobacco manufacturers

Azerbaijan subsidizes tobacco manufacturers

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has issued an order on providing state support to development of tobacco-growing, AzVision.az reports.

AZN 0.05 will be paid in subsidy to the tobacco manufacturers for each 1 kg of dry tobacco and 10 kg of wet tobacco sold to the processing enterprises.

The subsidy also concern dry and wet tobacco sold to the processing enterprises in 2016.

The Cabinet of Ministers is to approve the rules on paying subsidies to the manufacturers by agreeing with the Azerbaijani President within two months, and the Ministry of Finance is to provide the funding.
