According to the leaked information, phone calls held since February 2015 demonstrate that Salah Abdeslam contacted a number of people suspected of terrorism, the Metro outlet reported, citing De Tijd daily.
De Tijd reportedly received the full text of the document on the results of the investigation, which is set to be considered by the special commission in the parliament of Belgium.
The document also reportedly said that Belgian police ignored Spanish request for information on a trip of Brahim Abdeslam, Salah’s brother.
Brahim consequently blew himself up at a cafe in Paris while Salah disposed of his explosive load and fled to Belgium on Novermber 13. Abdeslam was arrested on March 18 along with four other individuals during a special anti-terrorist police operation in the Molenbeek district of Brussels. He was charged with terrorism in April and is currently held at a prison in France.
