`Taking hostage of Azerbaijanis - Dilgam and Shahbaz is shameful` - Vahe Avetyan (INTERVIEW)
Yesterday Armenian legal defender, Vahe Avetyan was in airport in Baku. Avetyan is political emigrant and critic of Sargsyan regime. Besides, he is one of few Armenian public figures who apologized for `Khojaly` genocide, committed by Armenians in 1992, Feb. 26.

He gave an interview to AzVision.az:

- What is the reason of your visit to Azerbaijan?

- I came to Azerbaijan to visit a monument to Khojaly genocide victims.

- What do you think of Khojaly genocide? Why have Armenians committed this disaster against Azerbaijani nation?

- I called this event `genocide` and apologized you.

- What are the views of the Armenian youth on Karabakh conflict ?

-Both Armenians and Azerbaijanis want peace. Thousands of letters which were sent to me in two days prove it.

- You visited Azerbaijan. Would you like to be Azerbijani citizen?

- I could see only Airport. I do not need to be a citizen of Azerbaijan. I have dual citizenship. I am a citizen of both Sweden and Armenia.

- What can you say about Azerbaijani hostages – Dilgam Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev, who were taken hostage by Armenian Armed Units? What does Armenian community think about it?

- I have also heard about their visit to the graves of their parents in Kalbajar. Their confinement for such a reason is very shameful. Both countries should allow people to visit their relatives` graves.

- What does Armenian community think of your visit to Azerbaijan?

- I am not interested in it. I do not care about their opinions.

- Historically, there had never been such a country like `Hayastan`. Those territories belong to Western Azerbaijan. Do you agree with it?

- I am not a historian. However, I think it is not true. Today, there is not any connection between human rights and history.
