Turkey coup attempt to be discussed at PACE autumn session
The report on the situation in Turkey in the light of the attempted coup will be discussed at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) autumn session, said PACE President Perdo Agramunt.
Addressing the opening of the PACE autumn session on Oct. 10, Agramunt said that the report will be discussed on the fourth day of the autumn session.

On July 15 evening, Turkish authorities said a military coup attempt took place in the country. Meanwhile, a group of rebelling servicemen announced about transition of power to them.

However, the rebelling servicemen started to surrender July 16 and Turkish authorities said the coup attempt failed.

At least 208 people, including members of the security forces and civilians, were martyred in Istanbul and Ankara and nearly 1,500 others wounded as they protested against the coup.
