The counterterrorism unit of Australia`s New South Wales (NSW) state on Wednesday arrested two men in Sydney`s suburb of Bankstown, the press service of the NSW Police Force said in a statement.

The statement added that the only information police could provide in connection with the incident that there were no "on-going threat" related to the detention at the moment.
