Azerbaijan to judicially liquidate organizations guilty of religious extremism
Azerbaijan will judicially liquidate any organization found guilty of religious extremism.
This is according to the proposed amendment to the law on religious freedom, which was discussed Wednesday by the parliamentary committee on human rights.

Currently religious authorities, when information is received of a religious organization propagating extremism, file a petition to concerned executive power for replacement of the community or liquidation of the organization. With the latest amendment, any organization found guilty of religious extremism will be liquidated.

The amendments has been recommended for the parliament’s plenary meeting.
