Spanish diplomat found dead in Islamabad

Spanish diplomat found dead in Islamabad

Juan Jose Giner, an officer of the consular department in the Spanish Embassy in Pakistan, was found dead in his apartment in Islamabad, the Baaghi broadcaster reported on Thursday, citing local police.

According to the broadcaster, Giner, who had been residing in Pakistan for 34 years, lived alone.

Reportedly a gun was found close to the diplomat`s body prompting police to consider that the incident could have been a suicide. The house Giner lived in was put on lockdown, police informed the embassy on the incident amid ongoing investigation.
