Decades-old UN resolutions on Karabakh conflict remain unfulfilled - Ilham Aliyev
The decades-old resolutions of the UN Security Council on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict have not been fulfilled up to this day, and this is an example of double standards, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev said in a joint statement with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif in Baku Oct. 14.
The president noted that Pakistan stands for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in accordance with these resolutions.

“We’re much grateful to Pakistan that it did not recognize Armenia for invading Azerbaijani lands. This is indicative of brotherhood. The people of Azerbaijan appreciate this brotherly attitude,” said Ilham Aliyev.

“We’re also grateful that in 2012 Pakistan’s Senate officially recognized the Khojaly massacre as genocide. For this reason, the people of Azerbaijan love your country. We’re much thankful to you for such support and we will always stand by you about any issue,” he added.
