Pakistani PM pays respect to Azerbaijan’s national leader Heydar Aliyev
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif visited the Alley of Honors in Baku Oct. 15 to lay a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.
The Pakistani PM also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

PM Sharif then visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity, and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

A military orchestra of the Defense Ministry played the anthems of Pakistan and Azerbaijan.

The Pakistan premier was informed of the history of the Alley of Martyrs as well as construction and renovation work in the city.
