No regional project may compete with TANAP, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in his interview to Sputnik Azerbaijan agency.
“TANAP is a part of the Southern Gas Corridor. The Southern Gas Corridor consists of four components. The matter is about development of Shahdeniz, construction and expansion of the Southern Gas Corridor, then construction of TANAP and TAP. At the first stage of this project, gas sale contracts were signed and gas was sold. We signed contracts on increase of production and this process will run starting 2018. The production will reach a peak in 2020-2021. Therefore, other regional energy projects cannot compete with TANAP”, the head of state said.
