He said that currently the share of alternative energy in Azerbaijan is 16 percent.
“By 2020, we plan to increase this figure to 20 percent,” Badalov said. “In addition, Azerbaijan intends to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 35 percent until 2030.”
He added that nearly 2 billion kilowatt/hours of energy was generated in Azerbaijan last year, thanks to the use of alternative and renewable energy sources.
