Sydney dance teacher Grant Davies sentenced to 24 years for sexually abusing students
Australian dance teacher Grant Davies has been sentenced to at least 18 years’ jail in a Sydney court over his abuse of students for more than a decade.
Davies, who was a director of inner-west dance RG Dance studio, last year pleaded guilty to 28 charges relating to child sex offences over 13 years.

Young women held hands in the public gallery as the sentence was handed down in the Downing Centre district court on Friday.

Judge Jennie Girdham said Davies’ offending against nine victims was “predatory and persistent”.

She sentenced him to a maximum of 24 years.
