"The Czech Republic is supporting Azerbaijan in diversifying oil,” said the senate president. “We buy 30 percent of oil from Azerbaijan. Our companies are actively involved in infrastructure projects such as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line.”
The Czech-Azerbaijani intergovernmental commission is expected to hold a meeting in Baku in January 2017, he added.
