Car crash in Morocco killed 8, injured 20

Car crash in Morocco killed 8, injured 20

At least eight people died and 20 people injured in a car accident in Casablanca, Morocco, media reported, citing local security officials, Sputnik reported.

According to Xinhua news agency, the vehicle overturned on its way to the market in the town of Berrechid in 30 kilometers from Casablanca.

No further details of the accident have been provided.

According to the Transport Ministry of Morocco, over 3,500 people died in car accidents over the past year. The ministry adopted a strategy on the year 2015-2016 aimed at reducing road traffic fatalities in the country 50%.
