The system for protection of intellectual property rights is constantly developing and a strategy to bring it in compliance with up-to-date requirements is being prepared, said Rahimov.
It is aimed at better development of the sphere of intellectual property protection, its integration into the already existing international system and rendering effective services in this field, he had said.
The strategy is being prepared in association with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and in accordance with an agreement signed by Azerbaijan and this organization. It covers issues in the sphere of intellectual property, methods of controlling production and selling of counterfeit products and other issues.
The strategy includes 30 target areas which merge around 90 concrete events.
