Azerbaijani interior bodies (police) have been given the new power of conducting preliminary investigation into cases of illegal lotteries as well as sports betting.
Up to this day, this power had belonged to the Ministry of Taxes. After the amendment, preliminary investigation into cases of illegal lotteries as well as sports betting will be carried out by either the Ministry of Taxes or interior bodies.
