Azerbaijan opened its embassy in Vietnam in 2013.
Azerbaijan and Vietnam established an intergovernmental commission on cooperation in economy, trade, science and technology with the aim to intensify the relations between the two countries, and the first meeting of this commission is scheduled for late October.
Currently, Azerbaijan-Vietnam relations are coordinated by the country’s embassy in Russia, which is also accredited in Azerbaijan.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Vietnam in January-August 2016 amounted to $65.394 million, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
