Azerbaijani MP proposes visa-free regime with Turkey, Iran

Azerbaijani MP proposes visa-free regime with Turkey, Iran

Azerbaijani MP Gudrat Hasanguliyev said on Friday that the Azerbaijani government should lift the visa regime with Turkey and Iran.

Iran is home to about 30 million Azerbaijanis, and the issue of canceling the visa regime with this country should be considered, the MP said at a parliament meeting.

“Some Turkish media outlets disseminate biased articles about Azerbaijan. Today I’ve read an article about some people’s ironic statements on friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. They reiterated that Azerbaijan hasn’t cancelled the visa regime with Turkey,” said Hasanguliyev, calling on the government to take relevant steps to lift the visa regime with Turkey and Iran.
