A massive blast took place on Sunday near Malta International Airport, media reported.
According to the witnesses, the huge explosion occurred in the village near the airport at 4:20 p.m. local time (15:20 GMT) and was followed by several blasts, which were less loud, the Sun newspaper reported. According to the newspaper, a plume of steam may be seen near the airport.
